2 Days of in-water training & instruction

Learn to scuba dive – an entry level course.

Learn to dive and become a certified scuba diver in a quickly as 2 in-water training days and for as low as 19,500 Php.  However, you must complete all necessary course work before your scheduled training date to participate in the training.

Being able to explore the underwater world is an experience and an opportunity of a lifetime for most people. But, exploring the underwater world requires special equipment to be able to breath properly, it requires developing skills that you need to perform underwater to make the most out of that experience, it requires familiarization of the use of the specialized equipment, it requires problem solving knowledge when minor things go wrong,  and special consideration when planning your activities to mitigate problems.

Scuba diving is a very safe activity for someone who takes the time to understand the science, the rules, practices, behavior of the marine life, water movements and pressure affecting us underwater.  This is why scuba diving is only reserved for people who got proper training and earned a certification to scuba dive without the need for any professional to manage their experience underwater.

Over the years, there are predetermined set of skills that one must develop and demonstrate before one is allowed to indendently dive. These are skills that are carefully agreed to serve specific purposes on a specific situation. These are non-negotiable, these are skills that must not be skipped, these skills needed to be demonstrated for mastery and only qualified instructors are authorized to make this determination. If one meets all performance requirements of the course, your instructor will sign off and process your certification.

PADI is the most widely recognized scuba training agency in the world and the certification it issues are accepted, recognized, and honored anywhere you go to dive.

Dive Funatics is an authorized 5 Star Instructor Development Center. It meets the stringent requirement in terms of adhering to the PADI system of education, it’s standards, and award the authority to train and conduct courses for divemasters, instructors, instructor trainers on top of the usual recreational courses. The teaching staff of Dive Funatics are qualified to teach PADI Courses and certify students who meet the course requirement. It’s teaching assistants are PADI certified assistants, they are trained to assist the instructor and the student both in and out of the water.

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the entry level certification course. This course teaches you the theory behind scuba diving like how pressure affects you, how it affects the air spaces in our body, the equipment and its uses, how to behave underwater, what to do in an emergency, and other important topics. It teaches you to develop skills like proper breathing, how to hover like a fish, how to glide with grace through the dense column of water, how to share air when one requires it, proper decents, ascents and safety stops among others. You will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your mastery of these skills in the open water, thus applying what you read, what you developed in an actual open water environment.

Dive Funatics’ booking system is automated, and real time. You can choose your schedule, your courses, packages. Once you book successfully, your eLearning access will be sent to you automatically. Your schedule is booked, and the number of subsequent booking for the same date will be reduced accordingly to ensure that we do not oversell our schedules.
